Peugeot Van Sales Increase by Over 27% As Customers See The Light

There are lots of van makers, some better than others, but one of the biggest in Europe is Peugeot, but it seems only now that van buyers in England are waking up to what a good value and highly capable product these vans are.

March saw a massive increase in sales of 27.7% placing Peugeot in terms of volume up in fourth place in the UK, ahead of its van making partners Citroen and Fiat.

There is lots going on for Peugeot as a new range of specialist vehicles has just been launched which includes a Boxer tipper, Boxer minibus and a sportvan version of the excellent Expert and these vehicles are only going to increase the French manufacturers take of the UK market even further.

New Euro V compliant engines with stop start technology will be rolled out shortly as will an electronically controlled EGC manual gearbox for both Bipper & Partner.

Co2 emissions have always been big on Peugeots list and even now, the entire range is already within the recently announced EU average fleet Co2 emissions targets set for 2014.  In fact, the small Peugeot vans already comply with the longer term target set for 2020.

For many of you, you might have seen Peugeot vans on the road, but have you taken a closer look at them?  Probably not, but take a tip, our customers love them as they do the job well, are nice to drive and are offering great long term reliability even on big annual mileages and they are economic to both own and run, so what more could you ask for?
